First Few Days of Senior Year!

First Few Days of Senior Year

Wednesday August 16, 2018 @ 6:57 AM- I began my morning by waking up far earlier than I wanted to. I dressed up cute, had my hair and makeup did, only to realize that it was pouring rain outside so I just put a sweatshirt on. SENIORITIS IS REAL. I got to school, grabbed my schedule and proceeded throughout my day. I learned I have every single class first and second semester with my best friend Danni! This blog will be laid out by days and what is happening. I was very busy and very exhausted! But more exhaustion is to come!

Classes:

Wednesday through Friday:

I had physics first hour and realized that I actually like the teacher and the class. It seems like it will be lots of fun! I'm trying not to psyche myself out before I even have a chance to begin to learn the material.

Not very excited about pre-calc/trig. It just hurts my brain being in the classroom. But, I also think that partially has to do with the fact I skip breakfast and I'm starting to get hungry.

Concert choir is making me super excited for the musical and learning new music, plus the music room is my favorite room in the entire school despite the fact that it is colder than Antarctica in there. But the fact that it is freezing in there it will come in great handy when 50+ students start dancing and sweating when we learn choreography in Limited Edition. Which btw Limited Edition's set list is the bomb dot com. (I didn't want to type it like a web browser incase some freaky link pops up) Also the musical costumes for Beauty and the Beast have already showed up and I cannot wait to see it Monday! Then my first script read ever as a lead character will occur sometime in the next week which I will of course be talking about in the next blog post.

Theme: Evolution

LE Set List 2017-18
Opener- Flash Of Time
Second- Defy The Odds
Ballad- Footprints in the Sand
Funny Song- Accident Prone
Closer- Faster

also our outfits and color scheme are pretty bomb too, when they come in I will of course insert pictures but the theme is Navy+Coral then Navy+Gold.

I love my Spanish class, something about the culture and the language just infatuates me.

The C Lunch Table is lit. We actually have so many people we have to shove two tables together during lunch. I never thought while growing up, that in high school I would have so many people that I actually like, care for, and enjoy the company of.

My psychology class is pretty fun so far, I love learning about the brain and how complex it is. Also the fact that we are all made from the same matter but chemical, environmental, etc... properties cause our brains to process in different ways and take their own route throughout life which I find astonishing. We also learned about some really twisted psychology experiments on humans and they were really freaky.

My English class literally has 6 people in it. SIX. But it does make it really easy to learn and a lot more fun because I like everyone in the class. My English teacher has decided the first semester we will write papers but why not put them to use. We will write our personal essays for college and she will grade them and give us advice on how to make them better to receive bomb scholarships! First paper is due August 29th! But I am extremely grateful for the English teacher who is putting her teaching skills to great use.

I have 8th hour out so I get to go home take a power nap or practice and study anything I please before I'm back at school for cheer practice.

Extracurricular Activities:

Wednesday through Friday:

I had cheer practice on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:30 we have created some awesome stunts as a team and have really improved a lot! We are all willing to work hard and help each other out.

Friday the cheerleaders went to the Homestead National Monument at 9:30 AM to get BPS and surrounding public elementary and middle schools fired up about school starting and get them prepared for an extravagant event that will occur on Monday! The Eclipse! (I will write more about that after I see it happen) Friday was also Fall kickoff! The cheerleaders performed a cheer and a dance along with practice cheering for a scrimmage game afterwards! We did jumps, pushups, and kicks when we scored points.

Saturday and Sunday:

These days consisted of WORK WORK WORK. I love my job at Valentino's, it's a lot of fun getting to work with people you know and like. I worked a double on Saturday and then one shift on Sunday.

I was also accepted into University of Nebraska-Lincoln a few days before senior year started! I'm actually super excited to start my college journey! This concludes my second blog of senior year! I can't see what other fun adventures I will have throughout the year!
